House of Harlow

Good news – Shoes Shoes Shoes in Great Eastern Mall stocks Nicole Richie’s jewelry line House of Harlow! The designs they stock are pretty limited, but the popular sunburst necklaces and oversized rings are available as well as the tribal necklaces.

I’m not sure if House of Harlow will be available at all Shoes Shoes Shoes outlets, so best you call them up before heading over to a store that’s not in Great Eastern. Here’s hoping they stock up on more House of Harlow jewelry in the future! This girl will definitely come a runnin’!

I’ve got a crush on sugar crush.

Alright, alright I’ll admit it, I now like me some Soap and Glory. I find my bathroom slowly filling up with bubblegum pink packaging right before my very eyes.

So here’s what I recently bagged from Sephora:

Image

Yasir purchased these for me for Mother’s Day so thank you husband! What enticed me the most when I sniffed these babies at Sephora is that they smell like ice cream. You know that ice cream with the lime icy goodness on the outside and the dreamy white cream on the inside? It smells like THAT. Split or Tropicana, whichever. If you used to love this ice cream when you were a kid or even now, you will be OBSESSED with these two products. So. Friggin. Good.

*sniffs jar for the millionth time*

If you’re the type who likes your body wash to be all frothy and foamy, then I will say that this body wash is not for you, despite the packaging claiming it to be “foamy”. It does not lather up as lavishly as you would like, as the consistency of the actual liquid is thin, not thick. It is essentially just a basic body wash that will do the job in getting you squeaky clean. Nonetheless, all is forgiven because in my fantasy, I’m a modern day Cleopatra and instead of bathing in milk, I’m bathing in a massive tub of icecream while watching Sex and The City as you do of course when bathing in ice cream and Carrie’s about to dump Aiden and I’m all like you stupid woman Aiden is perfect why Carrie whyyy I used to think you were smart. Sigh. Either that or I am rowing through a milky ice cream river and oompa loompas are bathing me with sweet, lime flavoured washcloths. Oompa loompa dippeedeedoo. The possibilities are endless, really.

Like its other counterpart, this body butter cream smells like heaven, if heaven was all about ice cream. However, unlike the thin consistency of the body wash, this body butter is thick and sinks immediately into the skin upon application.

I smooth a dollop of this cream on my legs after a shave and it helps smooth any rough patches. No oily residue after, just moisturised skin. Tap a little baby powder on and I guarantee you’ll have the smoothest legs this side of town!

In a nutshell, both products aren’t terribly mindblowing in terms of what they do, but I’m a sucker for products that possess a scent which makes me feel like gobbling them down, and cute packaging is just the cherry on top of all the pretty ‘icing’. Worth giving it a shot if you’re a sucker like me!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Seoul Makeup Brand Haul

An-yeong everyone!

So I’ve just recently come back from my vacay to South Korea and got to witness in person that Koreans do have the most beautiful, flawless skin – it’s not all airbrushing in K-Pop videos, as we would like to believe! There is some serious good skin gene fairy going around waving her wand giving everyone flawless complexion. So of course hoping to achieve some of that skin magic, I went and stocked up on just a wee bit of beauty products over there…

Did I say a wee bit? I meant a lot.

Man, they have some seriously cute stuff over there! I mean, I can’t read Korean but I can read cute packaging! Myeongdong is the mecca for beauty junkies like me and the best bit about it is that they give u free stuff when u enter the shop! I mean, come on. Who doesn’t like free stuff? My advice is if ever you get to go to South Korea, you should go to Myeongdong on a Saturday. They give u free masks and more samples if u purchase any products from the shop. No wonder Koreans have such beautiful skin – their vanity drawer is probably stuffed to the brim with free beauty goodies! On weekdays though, only certain shops will give u free masks, other shops will tend to give u plain cotton pads for some strange reason – which isn’t really a bad thing, as I now have more stocks to last me for the next 3 months! Anyone need some cotton pads?

I’ll pick and choose some products worth reviewing in a later post, so stay tuned! In the meantime, feel free to perve on the pretty packaging!

Kisses,

Tasha

FURLA CANDY BAG IN DRAGONFRUIT

I apologise for the lack of updates – a shitload of stuff has been happening in my life right now, and I’m barely getting enough rest, let alone find the time to spend five minutes writing a review. It is bananas over here, let me tell you. In the wise words of Gwen, this shit is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Gwen just gets me. No I did not struggle a tad while trying to spell out ‘banana’ – okay I totally did. Let’s cut to the chase. I’ve already done an extensive review on my Oro Glam Furla Candy Bag, so the basics are pretty much the same. First thing’s first – I was unprepared for the bag to be a darker shade of pink.

photo

In my pictures here and online the bag photographs more of a Barbie pink, but upon receiving it, I was surprised to find it a darker pink – almost leaning towards a purple. You would think with the name Dragonfruit I would be prepared for it to be a dark pink, so yes my fault! If you really want to know the exact shade of this bag, please head on to your nearest supermarket, get a hold of a piece of Dragonfruit, find a mirror (I’m thinking yoghurt section) and by all means, imagine that piece of fruit were a handbag, girrl. You work that Dragonfruit. I will say though that this shade of pink does lend the bag an edgier look instead of sugary sweet, so it’s not all bad.

The Candy Bag in Dragonfruit is barely see through, so again, you won’t have to worry about passersby taking a peek at your ‘secrets’. It differs from the Oro Glam in terms of its hardware – the gold hardware on the Dragonfruit is slightly darker.

This bag is simply a super fun and playful bag, adding an instant pop of colour to an outfit. I actually used this bag to shield my hair from the rain two days ago! Obviously, I would never do that to my Balenciaga, which is all about lambskin. That’s how low maintenance it is. Love. However, one con I’ve noticed about this bag is that the plastic material tends to pick up fingerprints and the occasional dust, so you may find yourself checking your handbag then and again to dust off some lint if you’re anal.

I have gotten some comments on how cute this bag is when I bring it out, because it does tend to turn heads. And this bag reminds me of the sugary sweet jelly my grandma used to make for Hari Raya. Sweet, sweet memories.

That’s it this time around lovelies, if you have any questions on this bag, feel free to leave them in the comments!

Love,
